Mikvah Tahara

A mikvah is a ritual purification bath facility, used by Jewish people, on certain occasions, as before the Sabbath. A mikvah must be connected to a natural spring or cistern filled by rain water. Our mikvah, as designed, collected enough rain water, for collection in the cistern. This rain water was used to fill four separate sacred bathing pools. The configuration of the building required a circulation floor plan to maintain privacy of each individual scheduled to use the mikvah. A curved interior design corridor scheme accomplished privacy by escorting individuals along “dry” and “wet” corridors.
